The traditional tatami-floored room provided an authentic feel. The staff were great. During check-in, they greeted me with tea and a sweet treat. I loved the public bath in the basement. It was clean and peaceful, often felt private. Breakfast each morning amazed me, beautifully presented and delicious, offering a chance to taste local flavors. The bed felt a bit hard, and the noise from the surroundings was sometimes noticeable, which could disrupt the tranquility. A unique cultural experience that I'm eager to repeat.

Staying in the Japanese-Style Quadruple Room was such a unique experience! The tatami mats. We loved the futon beds. They were super comfortable after all the exploring! Room was spacious, and the decor was beautiful. The staff made our beds in the evening which was a nice touch. A downside was the street noise that could be heard sometimes, but honestly, it didn't bother us too much.

A Hidden Gem in Kyoto!
Our family loved the spacious comfort of the room adorned with tatami mats. Interactions with the staff were warm and cute. Don't miss the beautifully presented meals by host Tomoko. They're as delicious as they are visually fine! Consider asking for extra futons for a better night's sleep.

This hotel is a hidden gem, offering great value for money. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. They even provide complimentary yukatas and gift bags, adding a personal touch to the experience. The hotel's attention to detail is impeccable, with basic amenities readily available in the clean and well-maintained rooms. The breakfast served is delicious and definitely a highlight of the stay.
The only minor downside was the limited availability of natural sunlight in the rooms.
